Product Analyst

We’re looking to add a Digital Analyst to oversee the ecosystem of web & mobile app behavioral event data generated by our logged-in users. This role will specialize in the behavioral events data generated in our web and mobile clients, and will closely collaborate with the Product & Engineering teams to ensure that we are capturing and properly architecting event data as we roll out new product features and purchase flows. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the integrity of output data from our events and for transforming that data into a flexible and scalable system of tables and reports that analysts and other business stakeholders can use to generate insights into how users are interacting with our website and mobile app. This role reports to the Business Intelligence Manager and sits on the Analytics team, but will frequently collaborate with stakeholders from the Product & Engineering organizations.


  • Oversee ecosystem of web & mobile app event data
  • Create, implement and maintain rigorous standards for proper implementation and instrumentation of event data; troubleshoot data integrity issues
  • Develop and continuously improve process and documentation around event and derived tables architecture that makes data understable and accessible across teams
  • Collaborate with Product stakeholders to ensure that we are adequately capturing the most important events in the user journey
  • Work with Analytics and Engineering stakeholders to design Events database model that makes data accessible and easily queryable for analysts and other stakeholders to derive critical business and product insights
  • Work with Analysts and Product Managers to create clear, visually compelling reports and dashboards in BI Tools and Mixpanel that illuminate how users are engaging with our site and mobile app
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses into user engagement and behavior


  • 3+ years experience as an analyst or other data professional specializing in web, digital, mobile app, product, marketing, or similar
  • Strong proficiency with SQL (Postgres preferred)
  • Knowledge and/or experience with BI tools (Tableau, Looker preferred)
  • Experience designing and maintaining rigorous standards for event data capture, collection, taxonomy and organization
  • Experience with Mixpanel or other event-based collection services
  • Experience working with very large datasets a plus
  • Experience working with Optimizely a plus
  • Familiarity with Athena/S3 databases, BigQuery, and ETL pipelines a plus
  • Entrepreneurial spirit; comfort with ambiguity and a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong business acumen; can consider higher-level business context and thinking while still approaching analytical problems with technical precision and data-mindedness
