Role & Responsibilities

Rent the Runway is looking for a highly skilled analytical and innovative Product Leader to join our operations team. At Rent the Runway, we’re building the world’s largest reverse-logistics fulfillment center to create the ultimate closet in the cloud. Our proprietary enterprise-grade platform, built entirely in house, powers the journey of our products from customer receiving through cleaning, repair, and back out to another customer with over 60% of our inventory going out the door the same day it arrived. While our operation is highly complex, the customer experience must be completely seamless as we deliver every order on time for the most important moments in our customers’ lives.

As a Product Leader within our operations group, your road map will include both large scale, long term initiatives backed by multi-million dollar investments balanced by with shorter term optimizations. You’ll obsess about the efficiency of our fulfillment flows on both the inbound and outbound as we process record shipment levels every month. The successful candidate will communicate effectively across teams and levels, while balancing the needs and requirements of internal and external customers. You must be self-directed with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. Flexibility and the ability to prioritize in a changing business environment will make you successful in our results oriented, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities

• Lead requirements and design for Rent the Runway’s next generation supply chain that increases speed of delivery, lowers costs, and drives scale through an expanding network of fulfillment centers and stores
• Translate business strategies into product strategies, roadmaps, and product specifications that deliver customer benefits, meet financial goals, and ensure that systems and processes are positioned to scale for explosive growth
• Partner with key stakeholders to define requirements, lead user acceptance testing, drive adoption, and communicate roadmaps
• Analyze data to drive product decisions, measure results, and deliver actionable insights that improve operations and the customer experience
• Drive a product vision and relentlessly prioritize
• Own the product roadmap and drive enhancements from inception through launch:
  • Deliver coherent product requirements that bring clarity, focus and prioritization to complex problems
  • Break projects into attainable milestones and lead cross-functional teams
  • Partner with rock star engineering teams in a fast paced, agile development process
• Champion operations across the organization through your deep understanding of systems and processes

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, supply chain management, operations research, or related field; MBA a plus
• Product management experience leading teams to deploy innovative solutions
• Demonstrated expertise in operations and supply chain systems required to fulfill eCommerce orders at scale
• Excellent data analysis skills with strong proficiency in Excel and SQL
• MBA or advanced degree a plus
