About the position

Latch is looking for a highly autonomous Product Manager with a bias for action, who can help catalyze product development and manage Latch’s numerous stakeholders as the company furthers its mission of ubiquitous access.

Working directly with our Director of Product, you will be the voice of the customer and manage high-level software and firmware roadmaps for the Latch M, Latch R, Latch C, Apps and Latch Manager Web. Further, you will work with internal stakeholders and our customers to define problems, facilitate a cross-functional process to solve them, help drive consensus by owning documentation and requirements, and work with Operations, Program, and Marketing to deliver them on-time and to Latch’s standard of quality.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Product Manager on a software product
  • Native app experience
  • Web and Firmware experience a plus
  • Experience in both a startup and larger company environment a plus
  • Experience facilitating an agile and iterative software development process
  • Proven capability to form tight partnerships with designers and engineers to solve both user experience as well as technical problems
  • Skilled in managing stakeholders
  • Extremely detail-orientated with excellent verbal and written English
  • Track record of owning the end-to-end development of features from problem identification through to release and analysis
  • Research and first principles-orientated with an eye for great human-centered design
  • Knowledge of web/app analytics software
  • Hands-on technical or data science experience a plus

 

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the Director of Product to manage entire software and firmware roadmap and help communicate it to the entire company
  • Own the day-to-day backlogs for each software product
  • Market and user research, often going out into the field to talk to real people to gather real insights
  • Facilitate a cross-functional software development process with Engineering, Design, and Operations to: identify problems, prioritize them, facilitate solution identification, and form a timeline with Program Management
  • Own software requirements and documentation, and ensure engineering and design teams are completely aligned on what is being built and when
  • Work closely with Operations to roll out new features and products in a timely and robust fashion, with an eye to reliability
  • Help craft product education with Operations and Design
  • Regularly update senior stakeholders on product development and performance
  • Engage in the wider Product and technology community and participate in career and skill-building opportunities
