Technical Product Manager
Quovo is a data platform providing insights and connectivity for millions of financial accounts across thousands of institutions. Today, hundreds of platforms and millions of end-users rely on Quovo's technology for account aggregation, bank authentication, and ongoing insights to build better financial futures.
Quovo is looking for a highly technical product manager to help lead the development of some of our most complex and critical features and system enhancements. This role will report to our Co-founder and Chief Product Officer and will work directly with engineers and other stakeholders across the company. With a focus on our API product as well as various database and infrastructure work, you’ll lead sprint planning, articulate business and technical requirements, collaborate on architectural decisions and manage work within sprints to deliver high-quality results. This is an ideal role for a product manager with experience in a fast-growing startup and a background as a software engineer or with strong academic credentials in computer science.
Responsibilities:
- Own and manage roadmap for Quovo API products and features alongside CPO
- Determine ongoing product priorities, including new features and bug fixes
- Communicate with business stakeholders such as sales, implementation and client ops to understand “voice of customer” and respond strategically
- Lead biweekly sprints and JIRA tickets/flow with API engineering team
- Continuously setup back-end engineers for success - with clear specs and clear communication of user stories and business logic
- Articulate and present thoughtful and clear requirements for the various moving parts of API product development - from broad features and business rules, to specific functions/method calls, data queries and exception handling
- Own and continuously improve API documentation
Skills and Experience:
- 7+ years of overall experience as a Product Manager or Engineer.
- 3+ years as a product manager at a fast-growing startup
- Strong understanding of SQL and familiarity with Python and AWS
- Experience as a software engineer in a professional environment
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
