PWN is seeking a technical product manager to drive the roadmap and delivery of our RESTful APIs and other integration interfaces. You will get to design and implement a world-class experience for our partners' developers. There is a massive opportunity to create easy-to-use interfaces and tools for health industry partners. What you will be doing

  • Manage the roadmap and development of PWN's integration interfaces. Drive and take ownership of end-to-end development of our APIs, from the definition of requirements, to testing new features, to managing on-time launches.

  • Lead and guide a team of top-notch engineers that are focused on developing integration interfaces across our applications as well as a Technical Project Manager that manages ongoing technical implementations.

  • Understand and document the use case of our partners/labs and work with engineers to design APIs to support them. 

  • Create and validate feature specs that communicate goals, requirements, and technical challenges with the engineering team.

  • Design the developer experience when integrating with our platforms: create and manage the implementation of client libraries, SDKs, and debugging/testing tools. Oversee the maintenance of the API documentation and sample Postman collections.

What you should have

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. (You will frequently represent PWN to current and prospective partners.)

  • 2+ years on a client-facing role

  • 4+ years of technical product management experience

  • At least one year of experience implementing integrations with REST APIs

  • Familiarity and experience with tools we use (Ruby on Rails, SQL, Git, Postman) are nice-to-have.

  • The ability to understand software architecture and technology is critical.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.

  • Exhibits and drives a strong commitment to outstanding customer service, demonstrating both assertiveness and flexibility when appropriate.

  • Comfortable in highly dynamic environments. Action-oriented with a flexible and entrepreneurial mind-set.

About the Product & Technology Team at PWN

The product team advocates for our partners and consumers in order to design and implement outstanding customer journeys. We're at the forefront of consumer genetics, and our work impacts millions of people every year. You'd join a highly productive, distributed team of about 40 engineers, product managers, and designers (and growing quickly). Most of the product and design team members are based on our HQ in NYC, while the engineering team works remotely.
