WPP is on a global transformation journey for its accounting and finance departments. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team with a great learning environment. We are looking for a Federal Tax Manager to join the US Tax team at New York Corporate Headquarters.

What you'll be doing:

The Federal Tax Manager is a key player supporting the various tax reporting and compliance areas that are under the team’s responsibility.

This role reports into the Vice President of Tax Operations and will involve supporting and assisting the team where applicable.

Role Responsibilities included:

  • Assist with preparation and completion of year-end US tax provision, half-year US tax reporting, US federal taxable income forecasts, and quarterly US estimated tax payment calculations.
  • Assist with preparation of US consolidated tax return filing including forms, schedules, elections, statements, and e-filing.
  • Review Federal Tax Returns of US legal entities (e.g. Corporations, Partnerships, Foundations).
  • Review book-to-tax differences (permanent and temporary) for US legal entities.
  • Assist with tax planning & transactional related assignments.
  • Support Senior Tax Managers with their daily projects and assignments.
  • Manage the day-to-day responsibilities of Tax Seniors and Staff (located in NY and India).

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Accounting or Taxation.
  • Post-graduate degree (MS Tax) or CPA a plus.
  • Six (6) or more years of experience in Public Accounting (Big Four only).
  • Strong working knowledge of US federal tax rules and tax reporting obligations relating to Form 1120 and related schedules and tax forms.
  • Intermediate to advanced level tax preparation skills.
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills; high level of attention to details.
  • Self-motivated, comprehends and responds constructively to instructions.
  • Capable to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience using Corptax is required and Bloomberg Fixed Assets is a plus.
  • Hybrid work arrangement with minimum of 3 days in office required.
