About the Opportunity:
We're looking for a web analytics enthusiast that's inspired by our mission to deliver food happiness, to join our growing Data Analytics Team. We are responsible for data collection around website and mobile app user experiences, and making that data available and accessible so others can produce actionable insights and data-driven decisions. This data is used by Product, Engineering, Experimentation, Marketing and peer Analytics teams to measure the performance of new products, experiments and marketing campaigns, and to continuously drive user experience optimizations.
You enjoy intuitive data structures and believe that data should not be intimidating. You are an ambassador for self-service reporting tools and will support company growth by taking ownership of the data collection and tag management tools that facilitate insights into customer activity across our platforms. You're a curious, independent, highly motivated, quantitative-minded thinker who enjoys learning and educating an organization about its user experience data and how to best measure the performance of its digital products.
The Impact You Will Make:
Reporting to the Diner Core Senior Manager of the Front End Analytics team, you'll work on important projects alongside our collaborator teams, namely Product, Engineering and other peer analytics teams. These projects add tremendous value to the business and we are looking for a thoughtful and driven analytics leader to push the business further.

  • Partner with Product and Finance to identify success KPIs, new areas of feature opportunities and data enhancements for analysis and experimentation.
  • Design and implement web & mobile analytics event tracking requirements, to measure in-product, individual feature performance.
  • Be a key curator of our data. Drive standardization for web and mobile analytics tag creation and tag audit processes, to ensure there is a baseline of data quality, consistency, and architectural integrity throughout historical data.
  • Work closely with Engineering teams to translate requirements for technical leads, and to guide technical workflows for both implementation and testing.
  • Train collaborators and peer analysts on how to effectively use user experience data

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 4+ years of relevant site analytics experience (eCommerce preferred).
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • A team player with a strong value system of accountability and ownership
  • Clear and concise communicator, with demonstrated ability to identify business goals, translate them into tangible metrics, and set expectations on reporting impact
  • Experience creating data collection solutions even more so than creating reports, with a good understanding of tag structures, event log collection, and its impact on downstream reports.
  • Hands-on tag and variable design experience for product launches, using Web Analytics tools (i.e. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc) or Tag Managers (i.e. Tealium, Google Tag Manager, Segment, etc.).
  • Can manipulate large datasets and present complex information in a easy to understand way for business stakeholders
  • Proficiency in building ad-hoc reporting deliverables for stakeholders with varying needs
  • Provide strategic perspectives when interpreting quantitative and qualitative analyses
  • The ability to proactively work with little supervision while managing multiple priorities; quickly adapt in a rapidly changing environment.

Bonus:

  • Database experience dealing with very large datasets, and good comfort writing SQL
  • Comfortable working with raw event log data to gain granular insights to user behavior dynamics.
  • Exposure to A/B Testing methodologies, creating targeted custom variables, segmentation, and analyzes to validate a hypothesis
  • Experience with attribution analysis to examine marketing campaign influence in site traffic performance
  • Familiarity with Tableau, Google Data Studio, or other dashboarding tools
  • Familiar with JavaScript
