BuzzFeed Video is looking for a resourceful Video Intern for their NY Office. BuzzFeed video is the first production company focused exclusively on social content. (www.youtube.com/buzzfeedvideo)

This is a paid, part-time — 20 hours a week — position from January to the end of March and is open only to current students. The position is based in BuzzFeed’s headquarters in New York City overflowing with perks from unlimited coffee and snacks to free lunch twice a week!

Responsibilities:

• Handle prop runs and department prop management
• Handle basic production assistant duties for various daily shoots
• Handle shoot set up/breakdown with producers
• Handle on-set camera, sound, and/or lighting support for producers
• Support and maintain upkeep of studios and shoot spaces
• Process payroll paperwork for editorial video cast/crew members
• Assist with research and media gathering
• Assist production team with administrative tasks
• Assist production team with equipment and studio management, check-ins/outs, and upkeep
• Assist production team with casting process for editorial video shoots (posting to casting websites, booking talent)

Requirements:

• Must be currently enrolled in a 4-year BA/BS program
• A high-performing undergraduate, masters or MBA student
• On set camera, audio, and lighting equipment experience
• On set grip, gaff, AC, and AD experience a plus
• Determination, resourcefulness, and well organized
• Ability to work in high pressure, fast-paced production environment
• Ability to adapt to last-minute changes in schedules/plans
• No drama attitude; you’re someone that likes to get sh#t done
• Self-starter that is able to see a task through all stages until completion
• Ability to work independently with a team
