Additionally, employees are guaranteed job security during parental leave. -A number of policies to cover leave for other issues, including leave for personal reasons, jury duty, bereavement, time off for victims of crimes, time off for events related to children, rehabilitation, organ and bone marrow donation, and other issues. Depending on the kind of leave and how many hours have already been taken, leave may be paid or unpaid. -We also give employees the flexibility to telework and work a flexible schedule that suits their needs, subject to manager approval. Our 40-hour work week includes some flexibility regarding start and end times, to accommodate employee's personal schedules and also ensure availability during core hour hours. For most non-leadership employees, it is rare to be asked to work nights or weekends, although some engineering and DevOps staff may be asked to monitor application performance and check for outages during non-work hours. -If you're located in NYC, there is a company kitchen stocked with drinks, snacks and adult beverages, and the company regularly provides a variety of sponsored breakfasts and lunches, as well as company-sponsored after-work activities. The company typically also holds at least two all-company retreats or parties per year, to allow employees to connect outside of work settings and build bonds as a team, and to provide an opportunity to talk about broader company issues and goals. There is also a multi-purpose "fun" room in our NYC office that contains board games, puzzles and a foosball table for unwinding.
