Associate Director, Content Strategy
I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.
As an Associate Director of Content Strategy, you will partner with sales and marketing teams to ideate creative and smart custom content ideas for advertising partners in the Travel (i.e. Delta, Tourism Ireland, Marriott) and Auto (Ford, Lexus, Nissan) industries. You will solve advertiser challenges and meet consumer needs through the creation of meaningful content experiences that span social, written, video and experiential formats. You will be able to communicate these ideas concisely and impactfully in write-ups for marketing proposals and verbally during client pitches.
This position reports to the Senior Director of Content Strategy and will work across the Dotdash Meredith portfolio of over 40 iconic brands, including Travel + Leisure, Food & Wine, PEOPLE, Parents, Real Simple, Byrdie, InStyle and People en Español.

Oversee custom content on sales opportunities, creating smart, strategic ideas for Lifestyle advertisers
Attend brainstorms, ideate concepts, and deliver write-ups to be integrated into final proposals
Compile and discuss production costs from internal teams (i.e. video, photo, talent costs)
Represent ideated content strategies in pitches with agency and client partners

Act as creative through line from pitch phase through execution
Onboarding in-house production teams on sold concepts
Acting as quality control throughout the production process
Often representing creative on photo and video shoots, alongside clients

Foster relationships with Travel and Auto sales and marketing teams, while ensuring you are up to date on each Dotdash Meredith brand’s unique voice, content products and opportunities

Stay up-to-date on new content formats, trends and platforms and be able to incorporate into client pitches

Opportunity to manage a more junior content strategist (Manager or Senior Manager) with similar job functions
III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
Education:
BS/BA or equivalent professional experience
Experience:
7-8 years in a digital/social media environment
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bonus points for content studio, production, creative agency and/or content marketing experience. Not required.
Demonstrated experience and/or interest in Travel and/or Auto industries
