Job Description
The Associate Director Therapeutics will be responsible for driving the commercial growth of a companion animal therapeutic franchises in the United States. This role reports directly to the Director of Marketing for Companion Animal Therapeutics and Equine business.
The Associate Director Therapeutics will have primary responsibility for the development and implementation of the comprehensive brand strategy for the current and future portfolio. This will include the annual tactical plan and the long-term strategic plan. This range includes otics, endocrine, and oncology products. The position ensures that future profiles address unmet needs and significantly improve the customer experience with our company's Animal Health brands. The ideal candidate has experience in strategic marketing that includes a broad range of products across multiple therapeutic classes or product range in different verticals. The candidate will work cross-functionally with internal teams and be the 'voice and ear' of the brand in front of key customers driving customer-centric solutions. This individual will lead and manage the brand messaging, internal and external communications including all marketing, advertising, product pricing and related trade and industry programs. They will be responsible for developing and delivering the brand portfolio's annual and long-term financial plan including topline sales, spending and profit contribution.
Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Messaging and Value Proposition

  • Developing the product messaging, positioning, and value proposition for our company's Animal Health's Therapeutic product range
  • Collaborating with agencies, communications, and professional services to strategically create content that differentiates our brand


Communications & Demand Generation Collaboration

  • Assisting demand teams in driving campaigns that effectively reach the intended target audience and deliver a positive return on investment and business outcomes
  • Collaborating with agencies and the communications team, you will have the responsibility of overseeing product launches
  • Leading the strategy for audience segmentation by carefully analyzing the target buyers, ideal customer profiles, and target industries. This includes developing comprehensive solutions and defining prescriptive use cases with a hierarchy of platforms and solutions


Sales Enablement And Support

  • Engaging in close collaboration with the sales and sales enablement teams to gain a deep understanding of the go-to-market strategies, to develop impactful sales collateral and tools such as webinars, pitch/demo presentations, technical monographs, and more.
  • U tilizing measurement, analysis, iteration, and taking appropriate actions
  • Gaining insights into the performance of platforms and products and implementing iterative changes when necessary to drive tangible and measurable outcomes.


Stakeholder Communication & Thought Leadership

  • As one of the most cross-functional leaders, this candidate w ill collaborate extensively with teams across the organization to develop and execute global strategies.
  • This candidate will establish themselves as a thought leader in the field by presenting valuable content through various channels, such as industry and customer events, webinars, blog posts, and press pitches.


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • MBA/Advanced degree desired
  • Additional qualification in veterinary medicine/animal science/microbiology desired


Required Experience and Skills:

  • A t least 5 years relevant work experience in marketing/technical service/sales with a successful track record wo rking actively with positioning and messaging to create the best performing campaigns, stories, and product launches
  • Creating and defining segmentation, positioning, messaging, go-to-market, and lifecycle strategies based on market research, competitive analysis, and an unwavering focus on the customer
  • Tracking and reporting product adoption usage and produced results. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits is crucial.
  • Managing and executing the strategic product marketing and launch plans to drive revenue
  • Monitoring and yield improved performance metrics including revenue, pricing, forecasting , sales cycle, markets, and sales opportunity targets
  • Interpersonal skills that will help in developing and building strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders to collaborate and drive results for the marketing and sales organizations
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns with our Brand, Digital, Field, and international teams
  • Enthusiastic spokesperson communicating with internal and external audiences (sales, customer success, product, business development, R&D (Research & Development) , customers , industry associations, trade partners etc ).
  • Experience in pharmaceutical development and production is a plus
  • Product launch experience desired
  • People management experience preferred

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Expected salary range:
$135,500.00 - $213,400.00
