Recruiting Coordinator/Candidate Lead
The Recruiting team is responsible for hiring the world class group of engineering, sales, and healthcare professionals that make our goals achievable. As a young but quickly growing company Flatiron treats the interview process very seriously; it’s our way of ensuring that we make the right decisions in hiring the best candidates. Interview processes at Flatiron vary across teams, and as a Candidate Lead you will work with hiring managers across our myriad teams (Life Sciences, Provider, and Engineering) as the candidate advocate for every person interviewing at Flatiron. Candidate Leads coordinate each step of a candidate’s interview cycle from start to finish, ensuring a smooth, professional, and high quality interview experience for all candidates.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Flatiron’s constantly growing and changing interview calendar effectively to enable Flatiron to achieve our hiring goals
- Initiate and manage full-cycle communication for the coordination process, from initial outreach when a candidate applies, to coordinating interviews at the Flatiron office
- Engage and activate candidates by fostering genuine relationships and regularly following up in between the various steps of the interview process
- Recommend and drive process improvements and documentation
- Arrange a high volume of interviews for candidates using scheduling software
- Update our Applicant Tracking System with all notes and relevant information to each candidate.
- Collaborate with recruiters and hiring managers to determine role prioritization within teams
- Hold interviewers and hiring managers accountable to entering feedback and making decisions in a timely manner
- Own the entire candidate experience
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Interest in a career in HR/Recruiting
- Ability to manage a high volume of candidates effectively
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional writing and communication skills, and the ability to work with a spectrum of personalities
- Ability to think on your feet and change or adapt to ambiguous situations
- Experience with heavy calendaring for multiple individuals or teams (strong Google email/calendar/doc skills)
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities at once
- Ability to maintain composure and sense of humor in high-pressure situations
- Mature, logical, strategic, polished, nuanced, quick-learner
- Passionate about healthcare and the fight against cancer
