As our Commercial Manager, you will have a front row seat on the rollercoaster of high-growth enterprise SaaS deal flow. You will sit between sales, client experience, legal and engineering to guide new contracts and renewals from start of negotiation to successful close. Starting with sales proposals, you will streamline the process to deliver consistent product and service offering terms, secure customization approval from client experience, respond to technical/security questions, navigate legal challenges and bring in profitable new business. 

Success in this role looks like:

  • Develop, communicate and manage an effective commercial contract process (New Sales/Upsells/Renewals)
  • Work across stakeholders to enforce pricing and exception process for existing products. Communicate and manage new pricing schemes, new products and new services
  • Ensure all data security questionnaires are accurately answered within SLA. Engage directly with clients to answer questions and resolve issues
  • Evaluate NDAs, new contracts and existing contracts and legal terms for opportunities to negotiate more favorable terms
  • Identify, document and report on operations related contract commitments or other contract terms to ensure legal compliance

To expect success in this role, here are somethings you've excelled at in the past:

  • Commercial process management: effectively manage fast paced contract process to identify issues, develop solutions and secure approvals where necessary
  • Pricing / Service contract negotiations: experience with enterprise level negotiations for SAAS and Services, both internally and externally
  • Experience with and understanding of data security and privacy issues
  • Cross departmental cat-herding: alignment of decision making between sales, CX, engineering, legal and finance
  • Issue resolution: anticipate conflicts, develop and propose innovative solutions and drive resolutions that balance long term Movable Ink interests and client satisfaction

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in an applicable field managing commercial or technical business issues
  • Contract/deal process experience at an enterprise level
  • SaaS pricing strategies 
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and the ability to influence others
  • Knowledge of data and cybersecurity experience at the enterprise level (ISO 27001, NIST, CIST, etc.)
