ROLE SUMMARY
Pfizer's Biopharma, Patient and Centre for Digital Innovation (BPC) team are responsible for the creation, configuration, launch, and support of all externally facing digital (web, mobile, omni-channel, & device) products, platforms, services, and experiences, servicing all external customer types at Pfizer.
In addition, they are accountable for our Marketing Technology architecture inclusive of Digital Platforms, Digital Channel Enablement, Content Management and Marketing/Marketer Tools and for driving Digital Enablement within Pfizer.
Within this team, Product Ownership and Solutions Delivery Leadership are critical elements of the team function. The Director, Content Creation and Asset Management Lead role is a key position responsible for overseeing the digital content creation process and managing digital marketing assets on behalf of our Marketers.
This role requires a deep understanding of digital content creation tools, asset management systems, and optimization techniques to ensure content is delivered efficiently and effectively across various digital channels. This is also a people leadership role that owns Technical Product management in the Content Creation and Asset Management domain.
Collaborating closely with other key cross-functional teams, this role helps translate business requirements into technical solutions, drives innovation through experimentation, and anticipates needs of marketers in the content creation and management. The commercial effectiveness of the solutions delivered in this role is equally as important as the standard of the engineering we use to build the solutions. This role will be a key influencer in the design of marketing technology solutions for Pfizer.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Digital Content Strategy Implementation:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement digital content strategies aligned with organizational goals and audience needs.
  • Deliver on the digital aspects of agreed OKRs in partnership with the Chief Marketing Office.
  • Identify opportunities for content innovation and experimentation to enhance audience engagement and reach.


Content Creation and Production Management:

  • Coordinate the end-to-end process of digital content creation, including ideation, creation, editing, and publishing.
  • Oversee a team of content delivery specialists to ensure timely delivery of high-quality content.
  • Implement workflows and processes to streamline content production and maximize resource efficiency.


Digital Asset Management:

  • Maintain a digital asset management system to organize, catalog, and store digital assets effectively.
  • Develop metadata schemas and taxonomy structures to facilitate easy retrieval and reuse of digital assets.
  • Monitor asset usage and permissions to ensure compliance with copyright and licensing requirements.


Content Optimization and Performance Analysis:

  • Implement best practices for content optimization, including SEO, accessibility, and localization considerations.
  • Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to content engagement, reach, and conversion rates.
  • Generate reports and insights to evaluate content effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.


Technology and Tools Management:

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and tools related to digital content creation and asset management.
  • Evaluate and recommend digital content management platforms, tools, and solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Be the technical owner of the Content Creation and Asset Management toolset.


Deliver on our commitments and measure our success:

  • Deliver and exceed on committed deliverables. Monitor performance and drive optimization: Establish meaningful metrics to measure the effectiveness of Content Creation and Management initiatives. Monitor performance closely and identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement.

Lead and guide a team of marketing technology professionals, fostering a culture of delivery excellence, risk tolerance, accountability, and freedom to challenge the status quo. Attract talent to the team and develop talent within the team and ensure alignment with Pfizer's standards, values and organisational objectives.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years relevant experience for the role.
  • Marketing Product Management experience
  • Global Solution/Project Delivery experience in the Marketing Technology domain.
  • Understanding of the regulations and best practices of digital solution development in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Team leadership, coaching and facilitation experience.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate on behalf of the team and to negotiate commercially on behalf of the company.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Curiosity and comfort with rapidly changing ambiguous situations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in a matrix environment with geographically distributed resources, and establish strong partnerships with senior stakeholders, with a talent to explain complex topics simply.
  • Deep understanding of a variety of software development methodologies and best practices for implementing principles of privacy & security 'by design'.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Digital Content Creation Expertise: The lead should have a strong understanding the Adobe Content Creation ecosystem.
  • Content Strategy Development: Capability to develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with the organization's goals, target audience, and brand identity.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and digital asset management (DAM) platforms. Knowledge web analytics tools is also a must for this role.
  • Creative Thinking and Problem-Solving skills: Ability to think creatively and innovate. This includes staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing data and metrics in conjunction with sounds judgement to make critical decisions on behalf of the team.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: The landscape that this role operates in is very fast moving. The ability to adapt is a key ask of the role.
  • Ability to work with others in a constructive and collaborative manner & influence others outside of the immediate span of control.
  • Pharmaceutical Industry Experience.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Travel is a key part of this role. Expectations around travel will vary but you will need to be able to travel globally. Our business is a 7x24x365 endeavor. This role may on occasion require physical or virtual participation on a weekend, holiday, or after normal business hours

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $161,600.00 to $269,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
