The Role:
We’re looking for a Director of HR to build our Human Resources function and lead our Talent Acquisition team. As the first leadership hire in our ‘People’ department, you will play a crucial role in partnering with our executive team to drive our HR vision, values and strategy. This role will report into our VP of Operations.
Our ideal candidate is a data-driven people geek. As we continue to grow, our priority is to build a culture of continuous learning for our team of energized and ambitious folks.
What you'll do:- Serve as main point of contact for employee relations, benefits, and learning and development
- Manage talent acquisition and administrative team members
- Create company HR policies and identify ways to improve current processes
- Build and manage a framework for performance appraisals, succession planning, and learning and development
- Work with leadership to develop and establish fair and competitive compensation packages, including employee perks
- Oversee company-wide initiatives including All-Hands sessions and off-sites
- A Bachelor's degree in HR or a related business field
- SHRM or PHR certification
- 6+ years of progressive HR generalist experience, including 1+ year in a management role
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws and best practices
- Ability to work with a high level of discretion
- Demonstrated ability to act as a true partner to leadership
- Strong management skills and the ability to create a positive team environment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Impeccable attention to detail
