Director of Content Operations - NYC (Hybrid but requires M/W/F Hybrid in Office)


About Us:


WireScreen is a venture-backed startup that is building a global intelligence platform to help multinational companies, asset managers, and regulators track and monitor their supply chains and business partnerships. We are seeking a director of research to oversee a team of between 5 and 10 researchers and analysts at our headquarters in New York City. The expectation is that by the end of 2025, the team will grow to include at least 20 researchers and analysts. The research director’s responsibilities include:




What You'll Do at WireScreen

  • Managing the company's research and development department.
  • Supervise team members, overseeing data collection and analysis, and work closely with the product design and engineering teams.
  • Build metrics to track the performance and efficiency of the research team
  • Help recruit, motivate and retain the R&D team
  • Manage the production of a newsletter and other circulars that go out to clients and potential clients highlighting the benefits of the WireScreen platform.
  • Ability to evaluate the competitive landscape for business data platforms and propose and implement initiatives aimed at improving WireScreen’s capabilities.
  • Build a system that enhances the accuracy of the data collected and one that improves the WireScreen user experience.

  • The ability to work in the fast-paced environment of a startup.
  • Management experience at an operation that handles complex business data sets.
  • Comfort in presenting to groups and explaining the complexities of research and analysis
  • A record of developing a system that motivates a research team and measures their performance
  • A commitment to integrity in dealing with colleagues and data sets
  • A high standard in evaluating data sets based on their accuracy and reliability

*The base pay range for this position is $225,000-$275,000 per/year and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

What does your typical day look like?

I start my mornings slowly, reviewing the previous day’s work, chatting with teammates, and making coffee. Lunch time is flexible, but I spend the core of my day between focused coding sessions and meetings. Some days I’m collaborating with our research team, other days I’m discussing design concepts or aligning on feature releases with the team.
