We're looking for a dynamic leader to own Meetup Pro, an exciting new business that will help organizations spawn local communities around the world and allow millions of people to experience the power and joy that come from real, local, face-to-face community.

Thousands of businesses currently organize Meetups and organizations always ask how they can use the Meetup platform to connect their fans and followers in real life. So we recently launched Meetup Pro to help those organizations transform their audience into a community. We have signed up 150 trial customers (including Google, Salesforce, Wordpress, MongoDB), and are adding more every day. Now we need someone to come on in and chart the path to success for this new business and execute.

As General Manager, you will provide the product vision and leadership for Meetup Pro and take charge of the sales strategy and the financials for the business. We'll expect you to dive in and get your hands dirty with all aspects of building a successful product - as you would at a startup. You'll lead a small, nimble cross-functional team that will include engineers, a designer, an analyst and a business development lead. You'll partner with the team to experiment with what works and then shape and refine the vision for the product. To succeed, you'll need a proven track record for building world-class products as well as strong technical, business, and marketing chops. Experience working on enterprise products is a plus.

You're our ideal teammate if:

• You have experience in a General Manager-like role where you were responsible for all aspects of a business
• You've developed and grown a new business from scratch, either at a startup or within a larger company
• You've been in a senior product management role at a tech, media or e-commerce company (Agile environment preferred)
• You have built, led and inspired cross-functional teams
• Ideally you have international experience
• You have launched an impressive portfolio of products that ideally includes an enterprise product
• You have the ability to think big yet are also willing to get your hands dirty with the details
• You're knowledgeable about web services/APIs and data modeling
• You feel a sense of pride and ownership over the quality and execution of a great product
• You can communicate and simplify complex ideas
• You have a lust for life, people, ideas, products, and technology!
