As our Head of Logistics & Supply Chain Engineering, you’ll partner with teams across Operations to drive financial and strategic insight through deep goal-oriented analysis and long-range planning. Reporting to the COO, you’ll be at the heart of the business delivering on our mission to redefine cooking culture, food discovery, and quality dinners for busy Americans.

• Advanced negotiation skills.


• A track record of building and managing high performance, geographically distributed operations with an affinity for perishables supply chains.


• Experience designing, planning, and managing complex networks.


• Logistics industry or carrier experience a plus.

You will:

• Build the Logistics/Supply Chain data set necessary to drive planning and decision making in the areas of logistics sourcing, budgeting, fulfillment center network design.


• Develop supply chain modeling/optimization competencies and tools and complete an initial fulfillment center roadmap.


• Improve Logistics cost management including budgeting, planning, improvement processes and communications.


• Improve customer product quality and consistency by reducing overall transit times and cold chain performance through logistics engineering and network design.


• Improve Logistics and Network Planning to improve on time fulfillment, OTD, logistics capacity, and fulfillment capacity.


• Partner with Fulfillment Ops to model FC economics, simplify shipping operations, and make the Plated package the “easiest delivery for our carriers to deliver”.


• Partner with Product Management to develop a roadmap of prioritized Delivery Personalization capabilities and execute on a plan to develop these innovative capabilities.


• Improve proactive delivery management tools, improving the customer experience.


• Partner with OPS Product Management to develop requirements that advance our technology tools for Logistics Management.


• Facilitate effective peak planning processes necessary to ensure effective and efficient scaling of the business and consistent OTD performance.


• Reset relationships with Logistics partners to improve commercial and operational performance and evangelize the Plated mission.
