 What you’ll do:

This position will provide primary HR support for our New York City Sales Office. The HR Generalist in the NYC Office will partner with other members of the HR team. As the sole member of the HR team in NYC, this role is essential to the success of the Sales operations.

  • Act as a strategic partner for all NYC sales leadership providing guidance and coaching for all HR matters
  • Execute HR strategic projects to elevate the department’s support of the Company
  • Support all performance management for the NYC office including semi-annual performance reviews, monthly new hire performance check-ins, and ongoing monthly sales performance evaluations
  • Manage all NYC onboarding including I-9 verification, benefit enrollment, and new hire training
  • Process all NYC terminations including exit interviews/surveys
  • Support the development and execution of company-wide individual and manager training
  • Partner with Sales leadership to facilitate the resolution of employee relations’ issues in a timely manner including the execution of investigations if necessary.
  • Ensure policies, practices and procedures are administered in a fair and consistent manner and in accordance with all applicable local, state and/or federal laws.
  • Research and recommend actions that will enhance overall organizational effectiveness and enhance the ability of the Company as well as foster a healthy work environment.
  • Stay informed of changes and innovations in the field of human resource management and industry practices.
  • Support ongoing benefits administration including qualifying events, processing medical leaves, answering questions, and solving enrollment issues.

  • Is able to prioritize and balance the planned versus unplanned, day-to-day tasks versus large projects.

  • Has exceptional verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of leadership and staff.
  • Is able to stand firm and remain committed when necessary and facilitate understanding when difficult or adverse decisions must be addressed or made.
  • Can work autonomously in remote location while remaining aligned with the HR team in Austin, TX
  • Has experience with ADP and Google based business products
  • Has 5 years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience
  • Has a bachelor’s degree in business, HR or a related field or the equivalent combination of experience and education is required.
  • HR certification (PHR or SPHR) is strongly desired.
