About the Role

Namely is growing rapidly and hiring some of the best talent out there. As a People Operations Manager, you will help implement the systems and programs that drive our talent strategy, working alongside our business leaders. The ideal candidate will be passionate about seeing others reach their potential, be data driven, results-oriented, and have proven success building process excellence across multiple areas.

This individual will report to the Chief People Officer, and will work closely with our leaders to drive world class People Operations practices and strategy. The role will be responsible for impact across the employee experience within Namely, impact in our HR product roadmap at Namely, and impact across the broader HR ecosystem.

We’re seeking a People Operations practitioner with a strong foundation in people data, compensation, and HR program build.

 

Responsibilities  

  • Partner with leaders across the organization to create an incredible employee experience. This includes everything from onboarding and compliance, to compensation modelling, creating a data driven employee experience, to consulting on high level people programs and strategies.
  • Deliver data-driven insights leveraging best practices, excellent project management, and organizational influence to drive effective people operations strategies in areas such as employee engagement, organizational planning, and compensation strategy.
  • Own and execute in key People Operations functions including strategic planning and org design, compensation, performance acceleration, employee relations, and talent strategies across teams.
  • Build exceptional People Operations programs that can impact our product roadmap and the broader Namely ecosystem. Ability to build day to day while having a vision for long term impact to the HR community.
  • Lead efforts to empower leaders across Namely to become amazing talent leaders themselves through innovative and simple framework and process.
  • Be the strategic, kind, data-driven, accessible People Operations leader both internally (employees) and externally (clients).

 

Requirements  

  • Execution on organization wide talent or strategy initiatives with proven success through data.
  • Ability to bring the highest level of kindness and compassion to everything you do.
  • Experience in multiple strategic functional areas such as business analytics, human capital strategy, comp and benefits, and/or people analytics.
  • Excellent judgment and tact and ability to effectively deliver important decisions across the org.
  • The willingness and ability to perform both strategic and tactical HR tasks.
  • Depth in 1-2 functional areas of People Operations (such as time spent as a compensation or HRIS analyst) as well as breadth of true broad HR experience. For those outside of HR, depth in multiple areas of business/strategy (business operations, analytics)
  • Tech savviness and intellectual curiosity.
  • Intermediate + excel skills are required (and will be used a lot in this role).
  • Most important: a passion for seeing others reach their potential.

 

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of CA and/or NY employment law a plus.
  • Experience with Namely is a plus, but not a must.
  • Depth in additional areas of People Operations.
  • Experience influencing the broader HR community through building networks, publications, and sharing best practices.
