Meetup is looking for a Marketing Designer who will elevate our brand through his/her creative vision, well-developed aesthetic, and consistent execution.

We have nearly 30 million people participating in over 250,000 Meetups around the world, but until very recently, our visual identity was disjointed and understated. A few months ago, we launched a rebrand with the help of renowned designers Stefan Sagmeister and Jessica Walsh. Now that we've got this beautiful and bold design system -- the animating swarm logo, the bright color palette, the duotone photo treatment, and a set of unique photos created for each of Meetup's categories -- there's work to be done to make all our public-facing materials look and feel like Meetup.

About You:

• 3+ years relevant experience developing compelling branded materials for print and web
• A well developed and sophisticated aesthetic and a strong sense of typography, layout, and composition
• Ability to both work within existing design guidelines, and expand upon them
• Committed to meeting deadlines and skilled at handling multiple projects simultaneously
• Able to work independently to get things done, and as part of a team
• Great listener and creative problem solver
• Detail-oriented
• Understanding of social media landscape
• Fluency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch, and other relevant design programs

About the Job:

• Apply Meetup's new visual branding to all touchpoints outside of the Meetup product, including marketing campaigns, recruiting materials, presentation templates, and event and office decor
• Contribute ideas and produce ad units for our ongoing digital advertising campaigns
• Support promotional campaigns and brand initiatives on social media
• Regularly review Meetup photos to identify ones that best express our brand, and use them to build and regularly update a photo library that any Meetupper can access
• Collaborate with our Product Team to prepare design files for our app screenshots for the App and Play Stores
• Work collaboratively with a variety of teams and stakeholders
• Engage in regular brainstorming sessions and constructive design critiques
