Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Participate in the validation of Credit Risk Capital and Loss Forecasting models for Wholesale credit products. Carry out model validation and governance activities. Perform model reviews, including evaluating: conceptual soundness of model specification; reasonableness of assumptions and reliability of inputs; completeness of testing performed to support the correctness of the implementation; robustness of numerical aspects; suitability and comprehensiveness of performance metrics and risk measures associated with use of model. Performing model risk measurement, including designing and implementing experiments to measure potential impact of model limitations, parameter estimation error or deviations from model assumptions. Compare model outputs with empirical evidence and/or outputs from model benchmarks in support of model risk measurement. Liaise with Lines of Business, Finance and Risk professionals and contribute toward regulatory engagements. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Applied Statistics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Econometrics, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Quantitative Modeling Lead, Quantitative Finance Analyst, Quantitative Modeling Analyst, Financial Quantitative Analyst, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Ph.D. degree in Applied Statistics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Econometrics, or related field of study plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or as a Quantitative Modeling Lead, Quantitative Finance Analyst, Quantitative Modeling Analyst, Financial Quantitative Analyst, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires three (3) years of experience in the following: Performance Testing; financial risk modeling; credit product portfolios such as Commercial and Industrial, Commercial Real Estate, Credit Cards, or Mortgage; programming languages such as SAS, R, or Python; Statistical and econometric modeling such as logistic regressions, linear regressions, and time series analysis; relational database management systems such as SQL; model validation or model risk audit experience with empirical models for Retail or Wholesale credit products; and risk management related to regulations such as Basel or CCAR.
Job Location: 237 Park Ave, New York, NY 10017. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
