Senior Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing team. This position will report directly to the VP of Finance and will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all accounting information. A successful candidate will combine excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to help Stash achieve its vision.
What you'll do:
- Develop and implement new processes, systems, and procedures that provide the proper controls while contributing to the growth of the company
- Own the monthly close process from end to end, including all general ledger entries and reconciliations
- Manage financial reporting and assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements
- Support Accounts Payable to ensure accurate and timely payments
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles
- Prepare ad hoc analyses as needed
What we're looking for:
- 3-5 years of experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting with exposure to the financial services industry
- B.S. in Accounting, Finance or other relevant subjects from a top university
- CPA or CPA track with excellent knowledge of US GAAP
- Self-starter that is comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Pride in your attention to detail and organizational skills—no variance is too small to investigate
- Top notch Excel skills and familiarity with financial accounting systems (i.e., Netsuite, Microsoft Dynamics)
- Excellent communication skills
