Description and Requirements
Duties: Develop benchmarking models to challenge models in use across the Enterprise, including models using such advanced techniques as machine learning, derivative pricing and other complex models. Identify alternative mathematical approaches and implementations to enhance performance and efficiency of existing models. Assess the mathematical, statistical and conceptual soundness of each model, challenging model assumptions, inputs, methodologies and outputs. Improve the oversight of models both quantitively and qualitatively, draft reports that address results of performed review and testing and provide remediations. Coordinate the projects and communication of the outcome to senior management. Manage and mentor other associates.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus six (6) years of actuarial experience performing pricing, valuation and model validation. Specific skills/other requirements (quantitative experience requirement not applicable to this section) -- must possess the following: Assessing the mathematical, statistical and conceptual soundness of models in actuarial platforms, using Excel, ACCESS, PolySystems and Prophet; programming in SQL, R and Python to enhance performance and efficiency of existing models; and developing benchmarking models using machine learning technique. Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) certificate. Hybrid - 3 days in office/2 days remote.

The wage range for applicants for this position is $156,750 to $206,300. This role is also eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation.
