The jobJustworks is hiring a Senior Manager responsible for Justworks’ overall efforts expanding into new geographic markets. This role reports to the VP of Product Management and Marketing, and is expected to manage a team of Market Managers within 6-9 months of hire. This role serves as the point person within the company responsible for working cross functionally to ensure the efforts for new market entry as needed - market research, marketing, product development, go to market strategy, and goal tracking. This role also serves as the internal champion within the NY office for each new market.
What you'll do- Manage the go-to-market framework for sequencing new markets
- Lead kick-offs for new market entry
- Establish and maintain market-level KPIs at both the company and functional level
- Create a framework for managing more mature markets alongside entirely new market initiatives
- Define, manage and be accountable for market-level objectives and success
- Identify and resolve/escalate conflicting goals that impede our ability to succeed in each market
- Develop in-depth (quasi-native) knowledge of each major market in which we operate; significant travel will be required
- Identify specific growth opportunities within each market; act as Justworks’ “eyes and ears”
- Coordinate market immersion visits for other teams (sales, support, product, leadership, etc)
- Build relationships with customers and influencers in each market
- Lead OKR discussion for new markets goals
- Maintaining cross functional meetings for each market with senior leaders
- Monitor and surface market-specific “new news” to each function working on the new market
- Report to the entire company how Justworks is succeeding in entering new markets
- 7-10 years of experience in general management, including experience in market expansion, change management, and/or program management
- Entrepreneurial and positive attitude. You are proactive and offer solutions when roadblocks arise
- Proven analytical skills, with the ability to summarize and present findings clearly and concisely, SQL a must
- Strong ability to synthesize market and customer feedback as well as existing and new products into solutions for customers
- Experience managing a P&L
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas and influence executive leadership
- Creative and curious thinker able to identify emerging business and cultural trends relevant to Justworks’ target audience
- BA/BS, MBA prefered
