What you’ll do:

You will be supporting a new financial, web based application that aggregates the user’s various financial institutions and displays spending trends, account information, etc (think Mint or Personal Capital). All customer software inquiries/problems that are unable to be handled by Tier 1 support would fall within your preview. This includes:

  • Managing phone, chat, email support requests in a timely manner
  • Building deep product knowledge and becoming a subject matter expert
  • Working closely with Engineering on troubleshooting escalated issues and providing detailed input to investigate and resolve issues
  • Managing tickets through the life-cycle by interacting with various departments within LearnVest and NorthWestern Mutual

General Milestones

  • Within one month learn the ins and outs of the particular portion of our app that you will be supporting from both feature level and technical standpoint
  • Within 2 months be able to handle all Tier 2 support requests and driving issues to closure without minimal assistance
  • Demonstrate ability to build and maintain positive relationships, SLAs and owning a highly positive customer experience until resolution
  • Effectively participate and learn about new functionality technology

What’s required:

  • Previous experience in a customer support role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Financial Planning experience with securities licenses series 7 and 66 (CFP is a plus)
  • Basic understanding or willingness to learn technical concepts (SDLC, software terminology, agile methodology)
