The team

The Route Partnership team discovers, onboards, and nurtures partnerships with global, innovative brands that want to build a modern relationship with their customers — from checkout to delivery and beyond. Thousands of merchants are part of the Route network today, and we're just getting started! 

The opportunity

E Commerce is an industry that thrives on partnerships. We’re looking for someone at Route that has the ability to roll up their sleeves and help acquire and manage new strategic channel partnerships while building out a team and supporting operational structures to scale in the future.  

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement comprehensive channel partnership strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Identify, recruit, and onboard new channel partners while nurturing existing relationships to optimize engagement and productivity.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop collaborative programs that drive partner success and align with our business objectives.
  • Conduct regular performance analysis to ensure active alignment and achievement of key performance indicators and return on investment.
  • Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements, ensuring compliance and mutual benefit.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between channel partners and internal teams, facilitating communication and project management to ensure partner satisfaction and project success.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to channel partners on product offerings, sales techniques, and market trends.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale the channel partnerships team to build a high-performing department.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and market conditions to adapt strategies as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in channel development, partner management, or business development, with a proven track record in managing successful partnerships.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and cross-departmental projects.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrable ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High level of initiative, creativity, and drive to achieve business objectives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.

Pay Transparency

Salary for this role: Base $176,000 - $200,000 + Bonus + Equity 

The cash compensation above includes base salary, and is not reflective of potential commission for employees in eligible roles, or annual bonus targets under Route’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, all Route employees are eligible to participate in Routes equity incentive plan to receive stock options per the terms of the agreement. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their career level, skills, experience, specific geographic location qualifications and other job-related reasons.
