- Partner with hiring managers to drive the full recruiting process, from job spec creation through to offer acceptance. This applies to technical and non-technical roles for our NYC and Vancouver offices (with potentially other locations to come).
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a compelling Kickstarter employer brand that showcases our culture and mission, and that attracts diverse, experienced, and capable talent for all of our teams.
- Level up Kickstarter’s candidate assessment approach to minimize unconscious bias and homogeneity and to maximize fit with needed skills and experience. This may include creating and executing in-house interview training workshops.
- Ensure every candidate has an amazing experience throughout the hiring process, from first contact through to start date.
- Proactively maintain a broad and deep network of prospective candidates from which to source.
- Manage all external recruiting vendors, including sourcing platforms, ATS, agencies, etc.
- Innovate on and run Kickstarter’s employee referral program.
- Track and measure recruiting metrics to pinpoint improvement opportunities.
- Act as an ambassador of the Kickstarter brand and mission in both internal and external interactions.
- Other People Operations initiatives will depend on your profile, interests, and needs of the company.
- 4-5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience (both tech and non-tech) in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous implementation of a structured interview process; knowledge of the ins and outs of LinkedIn Recruiter (e.g., boolean searches); understanding of modern applicant tracking systems such as Lever or Greenhouse; sourcing across diverse talent pools.
- Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written.
- Strong self-management, drive, and organization.
- Flexibility and chill vibes under pressure, and a creative approach to solving problems.
- Excellent judgment of people’s motivations, potential, and fit. Knowing what’s needed versus what’s wanted.
- Problem-solving versatility across qualitative and quantitative questions.
- Humility and empathy.
- Passion for the Kickstarter mission and charter.
