Ghouls, Ghosts and Geeks: Inside NYC's hottest tech Halloween parties

Halloween parties are a big deal in New York City. Heidi Klum is famous for her annual bash and this year went all out as Jessica Rabbit (above) at a party full of A list celebrities. NYC’s tech office parties might not have been quite as lavish, but they certainly look like extravagant affairs. Built In NYC took a look at some of the best parties from the week.

Taboola

The media juggernaut that features ads at the bottom of seemingly every online publication these days turned its NYC office into a wonderland full of skulls, gravestones and spooky trees. The staff were enthusiastic participants sporting all the usual costumes from bananas and witches to storm troopers and the incredible hulk.

DataMinr

The two Donalds, Trump and Draper made a visit to the DataMinr office for their celebrations. And half the office seemed to be dressed as velociraptors. DataMinr scours the Twitter stream to pull relevant information for news and finance organizations.

MongoDB

The techies at MongoDB certainly look like they had a good Halloween. Monsters, superheroes and even a mobile Tinder app got in on the celebrations at the office in the former New York Times building.

FanDuel

The FanDuel staff took their Halloween costumes seriously. No superheros or satirical in-jokes here. Things looked pretty ghoulish with traditional monsters and ghouls.

WeWork

WeWork threw a huge bash open to anyone working in their network of coworking spaces across the city. The ticketed event was held at the 12,000-square-foot Hammerstein Ballroom in the Garment District.
