The best places to eat in NYC according to these 6 startups

In New York, there is never a shortage of new restaurants to test out, undiscovered cafes to wander into, or bars to hop between. With such a surplus of dining options at your disposal, it can actually become quite overwhelming when finding a place to eat. In an attempt to subdue this consistent dilemma, we decided to take a few hints from the local startup community. Here’s some insights into where New York tech workers like to eat, drink and be merry (when they take a break from running the world):

The Vine 

The Vine offers a comfortable environment for working, playing, eating and drinking. The restaurant’s interconnected rooms feature an eclectic collection of objects and furniture as well as a contemporary art collection. They have American food with Italian influences as well as a changing selection of craft cocktails, local beer and wines. The restaurants also serves La Colombe coffee and cold press juices from Liquiteria.

Tin Cup Cafe

The Tin Cup Cafe is a neighborhood gem in Brooklyn’s Greenwood Heights. The cozy coffee shop is a great place to get some work done while sipping a frothy cafe au lait. Bonus: there’s free WiFi.

This place is reinventing the term “bar food.” If you’re in Brooklyn, head over to J’eajet? for a pint of local craft beer, a cocktail made with fresh herbs from the garden or an array of locally farmed dishes.

Apothéke

Inspired by the history and rise of the apothecary in Europe as well as the artistic influence of absinthe dens in nineteenth century Paris, Apothéke is the first of its kind. Apothéke prepares all of its cocktails with local and organic produce from local green markets or from the bar’s own rooftop herb garden.
