The 4 coolest bars of NYC tech

Sometimes you just want to crack open a cold one at the end of a long work day. If you work at one of these local startups, you don’t even have to leave the office. Peek inside some of NYC tech’s coolest bars and try to contain your excitement.

Livestream-bar

Livestream was acquired by Vimeo earlier this year, but the beautiful Bushwick office is staying put — and so is its epic bar. Its old industrial building makes the perfect setting for a hipster bar, complete with hanging light bulbs, numerous shelves of liquor and tons of counter space to mix your drinks.

The bar in Handshake’s Soho office is more than just beautiful — it’s also the backdrop to many of the company’s social events. Employees can invite significant others, friends and customers to the office happy hours, where executives will put their DJing skills to good use.

Ceros-bar

Ceros provides marketers and designers with content creation software, and its office is designed with creative decor that reflects its mission and values. One of the main focal points is the British pub, which creative director Jack Dixon considers the heart and soul of the company. Employees and clients can often be found relaxing with a drink in hand at the end of a long day.

You know about Yelp, but do you know about its over-the-top office? The focus of its bar is on coffee (not alcohol) and features an onsite barista. With a painted ceiling, rustic countertop and top-of-the-line equipment, this coffee bar is right on par with Starbucks — except the barista will always get your name right.
