This ticketed event is the main stage for all that’s happening in the world of big data. Those with a focus on finance and investment are encouraged to attend, as the conference will take a close look at how “alternative data” is impacting the lending and investing markets.

 

edChain: Blockchain & Education Open Source Event, May 23 at 10:30 a.m.

How can blockchain technology help improve the quality and accessibility of education around the world? These are the questions that innovators will aim to answer at this afternoon meetup. After edChain architects discuss the exciting projects they are working on, those with an interest in blockchain and/or education will have the chance to share their thoughts.

A Colorful Journey into Design Systems, May 24 at 7:00 p.m.

Design systems — the infrastructure on which coding workflow is built — can be a difficult beast to wrangle, particularly when starting a new project with months or years of design debt built up. At this session, GitHub’s Design System Manager, Diana Mounter, will teach coders how using color in their code can revolutionize their workflow.
