Pzizz is a sleep app that uses psychoacoustics and voice narration to help listeners sleep more soundly. But it’s not just peaceful, soothing sounds that the app broadcasts. Each piece of material is designed by in-house audio engineers that use science-backed techniques to create what they call “dreamscapes.” The app hosts more than 1 billion sequences and learns each user’s preferences over time.

Tomorrow is a connected sleep system that combines self cooling, memory foam mattresses with sleep monitoring technology for a fully enhanced sleep experience. The technology helps give users insight into their sleep habits and will even emit an alarm at the lightest stage of sleep to gently wake you up in the morning.

We featured Helix in our 50 Startups to Watch in 2017 list for its innovation in sleep tech. The company designs mattresses based on a customer’s weight, height, sleep positions and mattress-type preferences. While most of the business is online, it also has physical showrooms, where customers can schedule individualized sleep consultations.

Many times, it’s our thoughts that keep us up at night, and Caeden can help turn them off. The Caeden app, which includes guided resonance meditations, connects with the Sona Connected Bracelet to help monitor heart rate and improve focus and serenity. Unlike some other wearable devices, the bracelet looks like a regular piece of jewelry and tracks heart rate variability, a stat that gives an honest look at how your body reacts to stressful situations.

Those who experience frequent headaches and migraines know that a lack of sleep is both a trigger and a result of pain. BioTrak is the company behind Halo, which provides users with science-backed headache therapies. By using the service regularly, people can rely less on medication for headache relief. The technology includes features that help users track progress and keep a diary of symptoms.
