NYC tech is going through a bit of a makeover. Six new executives — three of whom are at the same company — are shaking up the tech scene by utilizing their decades of experience and fresh insight. Get to know the newest names in the industry.

DigitalOcean, the cloud for developers, recently appointed Mark Templeton as CEO. Templeton was previously CEO at Citrix — a position he left in 2015 after 14 years with the company. In that role, he worked with enterprise clients and acquired a number of companies, which is similar to what he plans to do in his new role, according to CNBC. At DigitalOcean, he aims to add on to the company’s offerings by making strategic acquisitions. Think: tools for AI, serverless computing and more.

Ayelet Heyman
VP of Product

After raising $26.4 million in Series B funding, data analysis company SQream recently made a number of executive hires, including Ayelet Heyman. With more than 10 years of experience, she joins the company as VP of product. She will use her background in math and technology to add to the company’s product capabilities as it expands throughout the world.

Joel Sehr
VP of Sales

SQream has also appointed Joel Sehr to VP of sales, where he will oversee the sales team dedicated to the U.S. market. Prior to SQream, Sehr worked at a number of software companies and brings with him more than two decades of sales experience.

David Leichner
Chief Marketing Officer

David Leichner is now the chief marketing officer at SQream. With more than 25 years of experience in software marketing and sales, he’s joining the team to create the company’s global marketing strategy.

Greg Jensen
Chief product officer

Adtech company Datagran recently added Greg Jensen as the team’s new chief product officer. The former Microsoft executive brings with him 30 years of experience in engineering and product marketing and development. In his new role, he’ll focus on overseeing the company's product suite, which provides marketing teams with the ability to launch digital campaigns with better efficiency and transparency.

Digital media platform SundaySky welcomed Glen Sussman as CFO. He previously held this role at Receptiv, a video ad platform, where he scaled revenue by more than 300 percent. Sussman has more than 20 years of financial experience in the technology sector. At SundaySky, he will help the team continue its momentum and growth.
