AP teams up with Civil to reinvent journalism

The Associated Press is working with blockchain-powered news site Civil to change the way news is reported and shared. The AP, which has been around for 172 years, will make its content available on Civil-based newsrooms and join organizations like the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), the European Journalism Centre, the Reynolds Journalism Institute at the Missouri School of Journalism and more. Launchmetrics raises $50 million in new funding

Launchmetrics, a company that helps pair luxury brands with digital influencers, announced a $50 million venture capital round. The investment was led by Bpifrance with participation from Seventure, Cipio Partners and Famillie C. Used car marketplace Vroom announced a $30 million Series G funding round, with plans to bring it up to $70 million in the near future. Adtech company Smartly.io’s leadership team is expanding. The startup welcomed Tim Frankcom, who joins as chief revenue officer. The Yard launches affordable membership for new members

The surge in coworking space popularity continues. The Yard announced a new program that helps companies looking for flexible working space. For the remainder of 2018, new members can pay $20.18 per desk per month for a year-long membership with the community.
