Inc. Magazine just published its annual Inc. 5000 list, and 274 New York companies made the list. That number grows to 368 if you include New Jersey-based companies in the NYC metro area.

The Inc. 5000 ranks the country’s fastest-growing privately held companies by percentage revenue growth over the past three years. To be considered for inclusion, companies must have booked at least $100,000 in revenue in 2019 and at least $2 million in 2022.

Local honorees on this year’s list include DTC startups, fintech companies and a range of marketing and advertising platers, to name a few. Here are the top 5 companies that made the list:

#12 — Thesis: Thesis is a direct-to-consumer provider of personalized nootropics — nutrient compounds that aim to improve brain functioning. The company grew its revenues by 19,648% between 2019 and 2022.
