Fall is just around the corner. While sweater weather might still be a way off for New Yorkers, plenty of NYC’s best autumn activities are fast approaching.

Whether you’re preparing for the inevitable post-San Gennaro food coma, plotting a weekend trip upstate to see foliage colors change or taking the family to the Bronx Zoo for Pumpkin Nights, NYC has a plethora of activities throughout the season to satisfy any and every niche and interest.

Likewise, NYC’s sprawling tech scene — the fastest-growing in the United States — has something for professionals of all passions or specialties. The top largest tech funding rounds for NYC companies drew a total of over $562 million in June and $240 million in July, demonstrating the area’s continued dominance as a magnet for innovation.

At 16 local companies, tech professionals are continuing to make strides into a bright future despite a rocky year for the industry. These companies and their teams are empowered by notable benefits and strong cultures.

Read what makes them worthy of their moment in the spotlight.
