Blackstone Acquires Alliance Technical Group

Blackstone announced Tuesday that it has acquired Alliance Technical Group, an Alabama-based provider of environmental testing, monitoring and compliance services, in a move that aims to expand its exposure to businesses supporting safe and efficient operations across the energy and industrial sectors. 

According to Blackstone, ATG has grown into a full-service environmental compliance platform in North America, delivering a comprehensive range of services, including source and laboratory testing, continuous emissions monitoring and leak detection and repair solutions. Its offerings help customers meet regulatory requirements while improving operational efficiency.

“Alliance is a clear market leader in emissions testing and monitoring, providing mission-critical services that directly support customers’ compliance and operational performance … We are excited to leverage Blackstone’s scale and resources to help support ATG’s continued growth, serving its existing and new customers across the power, energy and industrial sectors,” Blackstone Senior Managing Director Darius Sepassi and Managing Director Mark Henle said in a statement.

The acquisition represents Blackstone’s latest investment tied to rising electricity demand and the ongoing energy transition. The firm reported several other recent investments in the space, including MacLean Power Systems, Wolf Summit Energy, Hill Top Energy Center, Shermco and Enverus.
