DoorDash plans to expand its commerce platform capabilities with the acquisition of hospitality software company SevenRooms.
Headquartered in New York City, SevenRooms offers a comprehensive portfolio of solutions designed to help restaurants and other hospitality businesses optimize marketing strategies, operations and guest experiences. DoorDash has a platform that supports in-store and online growth for merchants, and the integration of SevenRooms’ tools is expected to enhance the technology, giving businesses access to tools they can use to improve sales and strengthen customer relationships.
“With SevenRooms, we’re excited to give local businesses around the globe new ways to bring more guests in the door, build and grow direct relationships with their customers, access best-in-class CRM and drive profitability through smarter marketing,” Parisa Sadrzadeh, DoorDash vice president of strategy and operations, said in a statement.
The acquisition is set to close in the second half of 2025 and represents one of two major pieces of news to come out of DoorDash May 6. The company is also acquiring the U.K.-based food service company Deliveroo.
