When is it: April 26th at 6:30 p.m.

Who’s it for: People who want to get into the startup community, but don’t really know where to start. 

What’s going on: General Assembly’s Global Director of Alumni Matt Cynamon will be giving a panel discussion. 

Fun bits: There’ll be beer and networking after the panel discussion.

 

The Ins & Outs of Raising Money with VCs 

When is it: April 27 at 6:30 p.m.

Who’s it for: Entrepreneurs who want to know more about raising a funding round.

What’s going on: A panel discussion and Q&A with some New York-based venture capital firms. People from 645 Ventures, General Catalyst Partners and KEC Ventures will sit on the panel. 

 

Algorithms @ Betterment

When is it: April 28th at 6:30 p.m.

Who’s it for: People who are interested in algorithms — that includes total beginners and the very advanced. 

What’s going on: This is a monthly meetup where people get together to try and solve algorithm problems. Beginners are paired with more advanced members to help them when they get stuck. 

Fun bits: There’ll be food and networking, and you’ll get to see Betterment’s offices, which we’ve been told are pretty damned swanky. 

 

Tech Talks: Featuring Stack Overflow Founder & CEO Joel Spolsky

When is it: April 28th at 6 p.m.

Who’s it for: People who are looking to build an engineering department. 

What’s going on: Joel Spolsky, founder and CEO of Stack Overflow and Igor Shindel, CIO at AppNexus will be discussing how they built and managed their engineering teams.

Fun bits: There’ll be food, drink and interactive tech demos.

When is it: April 28th at 7 p.m.

Who’s it for: Mobile designers 

What’s going on: SC Maotti, a design big-wig, will be laying out her three rules that every mobile product needs to be successful.
