Inside Startups and Engineers Without Borders-NY to host a screening of the film Poverty, Inc. The event will also feature time to network, with discussion on how the startup community can change what ‘fighting poverty’ means.

NY’s Biggest Business & Tech Networking Night, January 31st at 6:30 p.m.

This event purports to be New York’s largest networking mixer for entrepreneurs, startups and professionals. If you’re looking for a cofounder, new team member or a professional coach, you just may meet them here. The event is hosted by the Entrepreneurs, Startup and Business Association of New York.

Build A Career You Love, January 31st at 6:30 p.m.

It’s hard to argue against building a career you love, and the Startup Institute thinks they can help. This event is designed to give prospective students insight into how the school works and to see if it will be a good fit for your ambitions.

Getting Started with WordPress, January 31st at 6:30 p.m.

Wordpress is an amazing, powerful and free platform. Anyone who’s ever used it, also knows it can be a finicky pain in the butt. Still, over a quarter of the world’s websites are powered by Wordpress and this workshop will teach you the basics. If you do anything with the web, knowing the basics of Wordpress will come in handy.

latinoTech Planning Meeting, February 1st at 7 p.m.

This will be latinoTech’s first volunteer organizer and planning meeting of the year. If you want to get to know the organization, which promotes diversity and inclusion in the tech industry, this is an opportunity meet current latinoTech organizers.
