Optimal Dynamics, an AI company developing automation and intelligence solutions for the trucking industry, has secured a $40 million Series C round.

Koch Disruptive Technologies led the funding round, which comes after Optimal Dynamics partnered earlier this year with Koch subsidiary KBX Logistics. The new capital will help Optimal Dynamics expand the capabilities of its decision automation platform, building on its tools designed to streamline operational planning for the logistics industry.

Over the past year, Optimal Dynamics doubled its revenue and customer count, according to a news release, and the New York-based company is also planning to scale its product, support and sales teams.

“Optimal Dynamics is the critical decision-making engine logistics has been missing. This investment empowers us to deliver transformative outcomes at an industry-wide scale, helping transportation companies achieve levels of decision-making efficiency previously unattainable,” Optimal Dynamics CEO Daniel Powell said in a statement.
