Own and establish the company’s security function as its first dedicated security engineer. Build customer-facing security products, secure multi-cloud AWS, GCP, and Azure infrastructure, harden Kubernetes clusters, and implement IAM, network security, secrets management, workload isolation, and security logging. Write production Go code, identify vulnerabilities, establish secure development practices, define the security roadmap, and collaborate directly with customer security teams.

Responsibilities include vendor and facility coordination, workplace experience, onboarding logistics, calendar and travel management, communications, meeting preparation, minutes, expense processing, board support, confidential records, and special projects. The role requires discretion, strong organization, responsiveness, and direct C-suite support experience in a fast-paced hybrid technology environment.

Manage end-to-end payroll processing for salaried, hourly, and grant-funded employees. Ensure compliance with payroll laws, oversee tax filings and year-end reporting, reconcile payroll accounts, maintain payroll systems and records, resolve discrepancies, support audits and system improvements, and collaborate with HR, Finance, and Fiscal teams while safeguarding confidential information.

Lead the architecture and implementation of enterprise-scale GCP data ecosystems, including PB-scale platforms and AWS-to-GCP migrations. Establish data platform roadmaps, self-service architectures, governance, security, quality, and Infrastructure as Code standards. Architect solutions using GCP data, analytics, AI, streaming, and containerization technologies. Lead cross-functional engineering teams, mentor staff, advise executives, manage technical risks, and communicate the business value of data initiatives.

Leads a 35-person mechanical engineering discipline, overseeing engineering operations, programs, project delivery, staff development, client relationships, business development, financial performance, and commercial growth. Manages 6–7 direct reports, supports proposals and contracts, guides program managers, ensures project quality and timelines, and drives continuous improvement. The role requires extensive A/E/C experience, a Professional Engineer license, commercial multi-site program expertise, and strong leadership and client-facing skills.
