Ali Forney Center Benefits Overview

The Controller oversees daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll allocations, reconciliations, cash flow, budgeting, and financial reporting. The role supervises a Bookkeeper, coordinates with an outsourced finance firm, supports nonprofit fund and grant accounting, monitors internal controls, reconciles revenue and receivables, and advises leadership and department directors on financial performance and liquidity.

Leads the full lifecycle of city, state, and federal government contracts and grants, including registration, implementation, compliance, monitoring, reporting, amendments, renewals, reimbursement coordination, audits, and close-out. Establishes organization-wide contract management and audit-readiness systems, tracks performance and financial risks, coordinates cross-functional teams, manages government systems, and advises executive leadership on contract strategy, compliance, and funding risks.
