Paid interns support APCO’s Geo-Commerce practice through policy and news monitoring, international affairs research, analytical writing, stakeholder and media identification, team brainstorming, and limited administrative project assistance. The role focuses on global policy, economic strategy, geopolitical risk, sanctions, trade, investment restrictions, cybersecurity, and corporate reputation. Interns work 40 hours weekly in a hybrid New York or Washington, D.C. setting from January through May 2027.

Paid corporate reputation internship supporting client service, reputation strategy, research, news and social media monitoring, thought-leadership content, executive visibility materials, media communications, proposals, and media contact development. Interns work 40 hours weekly in a hybrid environment and contribute to client programs across APCO’s Raleigh, New York City, or Chicago offices.

Paid interns support crisis, issues, and litigation communications through media monitoring, rapid research, stakeholder mapping, scenario planning, and drafting crisis materials. They will help develop client proposals, monitor news and competitors, compile media contacts, and support real-time client engagements. The role requires strong communication, research, organization, critical thinking, Microsoft Office skills, full-time availability, and U.S. work authorization. Work is hybrid from the New York, Washington, D.C., or Chicago office.

Paid design and production internship supporting multimedia creative projects, photo sourcing and retouching, print and digital edits, presentations, file management, social media content, research, and client proposals. Interns collaborate with creative directors, designers, producers, editors, writers, and account teams while developing professional design skills. The role requires a portfolio, Adobe Creative Suite proficiency, strong organization and communication, and availability for 40 hours weekly in a hybrid office environment.

Paid interns will support international communications and public affairs focused on Latin America. Responsibilities include bilingual research, data analysis, media and social media monitoring, content writing and translation, briefing development, media contact research, proofreading, and client proposal support. Candidates must be fluent in Portuguese and/or Spanish, possess strong communication and organizational skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office, and have U.S. work authorization. The hybrid internship is based in Washington, DC or New York.

Paid interns support APCO’s international affairs advisory work focused on Africa. Responsibilities include researching political, economic, and policy developments; drafting memos, presentations, proposals, and thought-leadership content; compiling media contacts; proofreading deliverables; and collaborating on cross-regional client projects. The role is full-time, hybrid, and based in New York or Washington, D.C., with work authorization required.
