Lead the development of Benchmark’s spacecraft systems engineering function. Establish engineering practices, own system-level trades, requirements, verification planning, interface documentation, and spacecraft budgets. Evaluate COTS components, assess qualification evidence, coordinate cross-functional technical needs, and support spacecraft integration, testing, and delivery. Build and mentor the systems engineering team while driving technical rigor across spacecraft programs.

Leads a spacecraft program across engineering, production, supply chain, finance, customers, subcontractors, and suppliers. Responsibilities include managing schedules, budgets, procurement, risks, contractual requirements, deliverables, change management, program reporting, and customer communications. The role oversees government contracts and subcontractor performance, coordinates cross-functional teams, manages production plans, and escalates risks. It requires technical program management experience in aerospace or high-technology environments, strong analytical and stakeholder-management skills, and U.S. person eligibility.
