Subbaraj said she's empowered to share her technical ideas and lead projects, even when more seasoned team members are available. The project, which requires tools like Argo Rollouts and Istio, lets devs repeatedly deploy their apps without manual oversight.

Diversity and inclusion aren't just important for innovation at Bluecore, Surko said — they ensure everyone feels empowered to be their authentic selves. Through its D&I committee, Surko and nearly two dozen others lead events observing Black History Month, Lunar and Chinese New Year, and international potlucks that celebrate diversity. The committee also introduced #BiasCorrect, a Slack plugin that calls out unconscious bias.
