The Commercial Closing Specialist manages closing tasks for real estate transactions, ensuring compliance with regulations and communication among parties. Responsibilities include overseeing the clearance process and training personnel as needed.

Prepare, file, and follow up on FHA mortgage insurance claims (Part A/B, CWCOT, Pre-Foreclosure Sale) accurately and on time. Maintain claim files and system documentation, submit claims for quality review, finalize submissions, and pursue agency payments. Apply knowledge of default servicing, foreclosure, bankruptcy, loss mitigation, and investor/agency guidelines while meeting deadlines and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Performs investor accounting reconciliations for principal, interest, taxes, and insurance accounts; researches reconciling items and remittance differences; validates interdepartmental data; resolves discrepancies; maintains custodial cash accuracy; and supports reporting deadlines and special projects. The role requires investor reporting knowledge, attention to detail, intermediate Excel and Access skills, and one to three years of related experience.

Manage mortgage servicing counterparty relationships, including investor communications, presentations, requirements documentation, portfolio and loan data analysis, quality control, compliance, process improvement, and change management. The role coordinates internal and external stakeholders, tracks deliverables, evaluates service risks, supports loan servicing transfers, and recommends improvements to portfolio performance and service delivery.

Requires knowledge of FHA claims, default servicing, mortgage regulations, and agency timelines, along with strong documentation, writing, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Directs loss mitigation underwriting operations, overseeing quality, productivity, compliance, investor and insurer requirements, workforce planning, risk controls, and process improvement. Leads managers and underwriting teams, handles complex decisions and escalations, supports audits and regulatory examinations, and drives workflow, technology, reporting, and automation initiatives. Establishes performance standards, develops staff, manages operational risks, and partners cross-functionally to implement regulatory and business requirements.

Develop and manage relationships with wholesale mortgage brokers and correspondent sellers. Generate business, explain loan programs and policies, train partners on submission and loan-lock systems, support applications, and coordinate with underwriting, processing, closing, and funding teams. Manage the loan pipeline, ensure regulatory deadlines and compliance, maintain CRM records, facilitate timely loan closings and purchases, and provide high-quality broker and seller support.

Build and maintain broker and seller relationships to sell wholesale and correspondent mortgage products. Source and onboard new brokers, advise on programs/pricing, train on submission systems, manage loan pipelines, liaise with internal teams to ensure timely closings and purchases, and maintain CRM and regulatory compliance.

Designs, develops, optimizes, and maintains enterprise data platforms, databases, ETL workflows, reporting solutions, and business intelligence systems. Leads technical design, SDLC processes, production troubleshooting, documentation, stakeholder collaboration, and automation efforts. Requires advanced Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and SSIS expertise, plus experience with data warehousing, BI, dashboards, and Microsoft DevOps. Cloud data services, APIs, Microsoft BI tools, and Python or Java are preferred or advantageous.

Provide technical design, configuration, administration, integration, and support for the company Zendesk CRM (Support, Guide, Chat/Messaging, Talk, Explore). Build workflows, triggers, automations, apps, reports/dashboards, and REST API/webhook integrations. Collaborate with business partners, PMO, and senior team members, follow SDLC and change-control processes, and create documentation and user training as needed.

Prepare and distribute investor and trustee loan-level and monthly accounting reports, reconcile cash and pool-to-security discrepancies, forecast principal and interest advances, remit funds via wire transfers, analyze remittance differences, maintain reporting systems, and coordinate with servicing teams to ensure compliance with investor agreements and regulatory requirements.
