Casebook PBC Benefits Overview
Casebook PBC is proud to offer a range of very generous benefits, as we want our employees to be happy in both their professional and personal lives. These benefits include:
-Fully funded medical, vision and dental plans for employees, as well as their spouse/ domestic partner and children. Three of the plans are fully-funded, and one of the fully-funded plans offers a $0 deductible. We also offer a couple of additional plans that employees can select for an extra premium.
-We partner with Justworks as our PEO (professional employment organization) to offer a variety of benefits such as tax-free commuter benefits through WageWorks, a 401(k) provided by Slavic 401(k) (with contributions from the company), life insurance policies, discounted fitness memberships (NYHRC, NYSC and ClassPass), free membership in One Medical, Teledoc access and more.
-We provide a generous amount of paid time-off, which we supplement with several leave policies, including:
*20 paid vacation days
*13 paid all-company holidays
*15 paid sick/ safe time days
-Casebook PBC also offers a generous parental leave policy. Casebook PBC employees are granted 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave, and to help new parents transition back to work, we also offer 4 weeks of part-time work (20 hours per week) at full-time pay for employees returning from full-time parental leave. Additionally, employees are guaranteed job security during parental leave.
-A number of policies to cover leave for other issues, including leave for personal reasons, jury duty, bereavement, time off for victims of crimes, time off for events related to children, rehabilitation, organ and bone marrow donation, and other issues. Depending on the kind of leave and how many hours have already been taken, leave may be paid or unpaid.
-We also give employees the flexibility to telework and work a flexible schedule that suits their needs, subject to manager approval. Our 40-hour work week includes some flexibility regarding start and end times, to accommodate employee's personal schedules and also ensure availability during core hour hours. For most non-leadership employees, it is rare to be asked to work nights or weekends, although some engineering and DevOps staff may be asked to monitor application performance and check for outages during non-work hours.
-If you're located in NYC, there is a company kitchen stocked with drinks, snacks and adult beverages, and the company regularly provides a variety of sponsored breakfasts and lunches, as well as company-sponsored after-work activities. The company typically also holds at least two all-company retreats or parties per year, to allow employees to connect outside of work settings and build bonds as a team, and to provide an opportunity to talk about broader company issues and goals. There is also a multi-purpose "fun" room in our NYC office that contains board games, puzzles and a foosball table for unwinding.
