The position requires travel or relocation for the project.

Supports accounting and financial management for federally funded construction projects. Responsibilities include accounts payable, project budget setup, owner billing, intercompany transactions, cost reporting, reconciliations, forecasting, variance analysis, audit preparation, and compliance monitoring. The role requires maintaining auditable records, applying FAR and CAS requirements, determining allowable costs, and supporting cost-reimbursable, time-and-material, and federal grant contracts.

Supports on-site Safety Managers with daily safety oversight, project safety program administration, safety audits, reporting findings, and regulatory compliance across active construction projects. The intern helps promote a safe work environment while developing practical construction safety experience and applying strong communication, problem-solving, organization, and teamwork skills.

Supports construction quality management across multiple projects by attending meetings, conducting inspections, verifying materials, assisting with pre-operational meetings, interpreting drawings and submittals, and analyzing project quality initiatives. The intern develops familiarity with project schedules and critical path activities while providing technical site support and collaborating with Quality Program Managers.

Supports project engineers, project managers, and superintendents on construction projects. Responsibilities include processing submittals, maintaining project documentation, attending meetings and recording minutes, coordinating information, tracking and inspecting material deliveries, and helping keep projects within budget and schedule. The role provides hands-on experience in construction project coordination, communication, scheduling, and field support.

Supports construction estimating through quantity takeoffs, unit pricing, cost comparisons, subcontractor coordination, product research, bid documentation, database maintenance, and site data collection. Assists with reconciling estimates, monitoring cost variances, preparing tender materials, and participating in estimate reviews and value-engineering sessions while collaborating with project stakeholders.

Leads energy project business development, including pipeline creation, opportunity tracking, proposal development, client relationship management, proposal interviews, technical reviews, and pre-construction support. The role partners with energy leadership and regional teams, represents the company at industry events, identifies new business opportunities, reports on outcomes, and helps expand regional market presence. It requires energy systems knowledge, familiarity with decarbonization and local laws, strong communication, problem-solving, organization, and relationship-building skills.

Lead and coach construction teams to adopt lean principles. Facilitate continuous improvement events, train superintendents, implement daily stand-up audits and lookahead planning, establish material planning/storage processes, and drive waste reduction across projects while supporting clients and internal teams.

Provide MEP/FP technical oversight from preconstruction through closeout: review and coordinate designs for constructability, attend coordination meetings, evaluate subcontractors, monitor construction progress, manage submittals/RFIs/change orders, coordinate inspections/startup/commissioning, troubleshoot systems, and mentor project team members.

Develops and maintains regional construction safety program, ensures OSHA compliance, conducts site visits and hazard assessments, leads safety trainings, investigates incidents, manages safety documentation, oversees subcontractor compliance, and supports planning for high-risk construction activities.
